Alternative 4
Created during the summer of 2008, Alternative 4 consists of the following:
- Full renovation of the original building (the same approach as in previous alternatives)
- Restoration of the Great Hall so that it can be used for meetings and performances, with no offices in that space. (click HERE to see a proposed floor plan of the renovated Town Hall under alternative 4, including the Great Hall)
- An annex behind the original structure that is 2 stories high and adds a sizable amount of new office and meeting space
- A covered atrium between the old and new portions of the building that allows for natural light to enter the Great Hall from the north
- Approximately one half of the existing parking lot is retained
